Ravi Magedara is a highly experienced hospitality education and training professional with over 30 years of expertise in hotel management, academic leadership, and workforce development. Throughout his career, he has combined hands-on operational knowledge with strategic training and curriculum design, making him a respected figure in the hospitality education sector.

He has served as Principal of the International Hotel School, Mount Lavinia, where he led academic programs, oversaw faculty development, and ensured students received industry-relevant training aligned with international standards. Before this, he was the Learning & Development Manager at Taj Samudra Colombo, where he designed and implemented staff training programs to enhance service excellence, operational efficiency, and leadership capabilities within the hotel.

In addition, Mr. Magedara contributed significantly as a Senior Lecturer at the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management, developing curricula, mentoring students, and shaping the next generation of hospitality professionals. His work has helped bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to meet global hospitality standards.
