Mr. Roshan Fernando is a highly experienced hospitality executive with over four decades of leadership in the international hotel industry.

Mr. Roshan Fernando is a highly experienced hospitality executive with over four decades of leadership in the international hotel industry. His career spans luxury resorts, boutique hotels, and city properties across several countries, including Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, and Sri Lanka. Known for his strategic leadership and operational expertise, he has successfully led hotel teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences while strengthening financial performance and operational standards.

He previously served as General Manager of AVANI Bentota Resort & Spa and later as Group General Manager of Golden Hospitality Group in Kandy, where he played a key role in expanding the group’s operations and enhancing service excellence across its properties.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Fernando held the position of Director of Operations at Aitken Spence Hotel Management, overseeing the operational performance of nine hotels within the group. He also served as Group Operations General Manager for Ramana Hotels in Vietnam, where he managed multiple hotel properties and strengthened operational systems and service delivery.

Mr. Fernando also gained international recognition during his tenure with Tugu Hotels in Bali and Lombok, where the properties under his leadership received several TripAdvisor Awards in 2014 for outstanding guest satisfaction. Most recently, he completed a special assignment at Hotel Tugu Bali in 2023.

In addition to his operational achievements, he has contributed to the development of Sri Lanka’s tourism standards as a former member of the Hotel Classification Committee of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

With his extensive global exposure and leadership experience, Mr. Fernando continues to support the hospitality sector through advisory, mentoring, and consultancy roles.
